you have to pick one?

RPGs are fun, such as NWN, for spending nights when you are stuck home alone, or just have a ton of time to kill.

Strategy is nice for if you feel in that intellectual mood and want to try to outthink other people, or the computer. I try to meet up with friends once a week for games of Warcraft 3, my favorite strategy game at the moment(in part due just to the cinematics in the single player game).

Sim games are fun, my favorites being MS Flight Sim 2002, Jane's AH-64 Longbow.

Sports games are nice, but for some reason I seem to prefer most of them in console form. Still, I usually download the demos and play with them a bit to see if I could get into the game.
FPS are great fun for when it has been a long day at work and I just want to mindlessly blow people up. Granted, nowadays, some games combine strategy with FPS, such as Battlefield 1942.

Racing games are great fun for after being stuck in traffic, and being cut off by those mindless peons who seem to drive in such a way as to just worsen your day further. The Need for Speed games with Cop mode is fun especially, as the point is taking those rapid lane-changing,cut me off and make me slam on my breaks, riding my bumper to the point they are practically in my back seat, jerks out.

Of course hunting games are great for after having that lobotomy, and having just slept with my cousin/sister/*insert family member here*. Seriously, the Hunting game would have to have some kind of great humor or catch to it to get me to play it. Not to say Hunting Games are useless, but if I want to go shoot stuff, I will go play a FPS, "sitting in a tree and waiting for an animal to come so i can shoot it, with it not shooting back at me, is just boring.

In other words, depends on my mood.

Nah, they dont let you play many games in the mental institutions, and for the more extreme situations, I understand that it is near impossible to play, or do much of anything when braindead.

In all seriousness, after trying to play the demo I found myself envious of the Commodore 64 games (Ghostbusters was one of my favorites).

Wolf 3D is 1000x times better than this POS game.

And unfortunately the first computer I ever got was a 286, and that was around 1993 or so... Never had a C64 or Amiga
