Overall it's a nice demo but it didn't do enough to make me want to buy it.

Bad feedback+huge dl size=me not bothering. I wouldn't play it that much anyway. No time.

The gameplay WAS pretty bad, but I have to disagree with the graphics being worse than COD. I think they are pretty close, considering they were going for different environmental feels. It was WAY too linear and the vehicle dynamics suck. (The buggy slides the same way your teammate does)

The inventory was too cumbersome to manipulate in battle. And how bout that sniper that can shoot through almost anything and hit you. The replay value is ALMOST nonexistent.

overall =

I, too, hope FAR CRY delivers

Well, this Chrome engine is brad new, and the Qauke 3 engine is 4 year's old ( i think ), so, considering you think they came close, that shows that the Q3 engine far suppases Chrome's engine in quality

well, it's very important to remember that the artistic / directing teams behind the games are very extremely important. COD has awesome ones but the chrome guys don't seem to be as great. I'm sure the chrome engine can render awesome things, but until we see the final game we won't really know for sure
