Well, I played it full details, but it was not very fluid...
I think I won't play it more than that demo, it was long enough for me, but fun B)

Anyway, it's a pretty nice game. I think most people who haven't played it will like it...and like I keep saying: Unless you have a 9800 Pro, just turn off specular and shadows.
It's very fun online but the detail level on the maps and models could have been much, much better.

I downloaded the demo with the expectation of playing an outstanding game. I have a 9700 pro and got very poor graphics. The gameplay seemed ok, but let's face it, we all enjoy the eyecandy. The Chrome and Yager demos were more impressive to me.
Did anyone else have poor graphic problems?

I guess its a good game but if you've already played the X Box version to death like most uf us have, then whats the point? Now we can play the exact same game with a mouse? Its a two year old console port. To me it seems like the only reason to buy this game would be for the multiplayer. Maybe thats just me.

don't belong on a console and waited till it came rightfully BACK to PC...
sposed to be a PC game in the first place....
where you use a Kboard and mouse to play :P
game kicks ass, and I have the full version because of that fact

I am currently running a 9700 Pro on my system and I can play Halo without running into any graphical problems. I can also play the game at higher frames than 30 fps. If you own a 9500/9700 Pro then you should not be running into any problems. Try changing your settings under the Display Properties > Advanced menu. Make sure under Direct3D you have the Mipmap Detail Level on "High." Also when installing new catalyst drivers on your system, make sure to uninstall the previous version. Also check to see that you are running the latest version of DirectX.
I am also running a Geforce4 Ti4200 on another system and the game runs fine granted it does not run as smooth as on my system. I am also using older Detonator drivers for the G4 and the game still shines. Sometimes the frames do drop sharply when I play online and there are alot of vehicles around. The simplest solution for when this happens is just to uncheck "specular" in the Halo>Video section.
I really do not understand how some of you are playing the game with similar hardware and are having performance issues. Try doing some research on Microsoft's Halo PC web site regarding your current hardware. There is an FAQ regarding video issues. I hope this helps.
