I just finished read Masters of Doom, the book about the rise of the two Johns, and it inspired me to relook at some of the classic games like Doom, Quake, and, and, well thats all I can think of right now but anyway..... They still kick ass! Give some of these old games a second go, they're called classics for a reason.

Huh, I never played Populus, that was back when I was still afraid of anything that wasn't a FPS. Maybe I'll go back and check it out.

Anybody remember Outlaw for the Atari? Y'know, the one where you were, like, cowboys and every time you got shot it sounded like you farted? CLASSIC. And, of course, there were the first Pole Position games which, I might add, are still out in their origonal form for the modern consoles. (along with Galaga. CLASSIC.)

Alot of the really old games eluded me, my first games were early Nintendo titles such as Metriod, Kid Icarus(still my all time favorite), and oddly enough the second Zelda game. However I recently got a chance to play Dig Dug being that the last place I worked at had the original arcade cabinet. That game was simply amazing! The game play is so very basic but at the same time incredibly addictive, if only I'd known about the wonder of Dig Dug at an earlier age.

We are gettin along very good tdrogers21 :dennis:
This might sounds stupid but I still love PacMan. Remember when the old arcade couldn't put on more then 99999points and you just kept playing without ever being able to reach 1st rank because somone had already 99999points :dennis:
