Kurious about KOTOR

Hi all,

Long time forum reader, first time poster here.
I am considering buying KOTOR but am wondering what the gameplay is like.
Does it resemble other bioware games ( baldurs gate, neverwinter nights ect.) or is it
more like Diablo II, or Morrowwind or even Dungeon Siege. Is it a mix of other styles
or is it entirerly different.
My preferences lie more towards Diablo/Morrowind styles.

On the other hand I could say screw it and buy Call Of Duty instead.

I thought KOTOR was closer the the game play of Jedi KNight. It is an awesome game. Nothing quite like it

Isometric view, and it plays (to me, anyway) a lot like the Baldur's Gate type of game.

Although, what Nxs said is right on the money. Kotor is in a class by itself.

Stop waiting and go buy the game, you won't regret it!

I have only eer heard good things about KoToR, but, i havnt managed to get my greasy mits on it yet

Thanks for the feedback, I thinks I will get it as long as my aged system will run it.
Is it a bit of a system hog or does it run fairly smooth on a rig somewhere between the min. and recommended specs.

I was considering what i shout buy,KOTOR or Prince of Persia, i know it are difrent types of games
but how long does it takes to finish this games..

Well, KOTOR is an RPg, so its got atleast 40 hours + (80 for some ive heard ), and PoP is a hack and slash i think, but, its got some difficult puzzles so ive heard

I spent over 40 hours on KOTOR, and easily could have played it through again as a Dark Jedi.

PoP I finished in something like 10 hours the first time, and I think 6 the 2nd. Lots of fun, but like so many recent games, it's hard to justify the money on such short-lived entertainment.

Kotor looks a lot like baldurs gate because part of the team from Bioware worked in conjunction with lucasarts
