Force 21

When American troops conducted a night raid that led to the capture of Saddam Hussein in December, digital technology allowed Army commanders miles away to watch virtually every move. Some call the 4th Infantry Division the "digital division" because its vehicles are equipped with a system called "Force 21 Base and Command Brigade and Below," or FBCB2.

Does anyone remember the old 3d RTS game (one of the first 3D RTS games ever actually) Force 21? I'm not sure if it had anything to do with the system (the game came out in 1999), but the name was prosaic It wasn't too shabby (altho the controls weren't easy) and the gfx were nice for the time.

Hehe, I have absolutely no doubt that the system earned it's name from the game.

I bet the division motto (at least among the troops) is "All your base are belong to us"

yes I know the game didnt play it and I tryed to play the demo it runs but don't load the missions

Well, they did have some retired general consult them, and the game was in stores in 1999.
