i am just wondering if any1 else thought that microsoft and playstation keep tryin to rip us off
for example Microsoft makes headsetrs for xbox live that cost 40$ when u can buy a differnt 1
for about 13$

The movie playback kit is just a piece they take out of the xbox so u cant play movies
i would say it's just kinda like a 50$ key

Phantasy star online cost about 80$ but u gotta pay for a "hunters licence" just to play
even after buying the game and all that comes with it is a 2 month hunters licence and a hunters
licencse is 13$ a mont

And now 4 sony i can only think of 1 ritght now but its that after buying final fantasy XI
you still gotta pay to play per month.

And i'm wonderin if any1 wlse hates those DAMN MICROSOFT AND SONY BASTARDS!!!!!!!! :rant:

Isnt it because they have a MASSIVE server(s), and thats what your paying for, the privlage?

I think that to get on the server u should noit be charged a month but it should be included in the price of the game

MMORPGs NEED a monthly fee because all the information on the game is stored ON the severs. These games require ALOT of bandwidth from the server side and alot of storage. Its really not cheap to run either... mind you that MMORPG's are also constantly bug patched and updated in gameplay...

As for PSO, I dont agree with its charge since 4 players in a dungeon is hardly a MMORPG... but FFXI I agree with...

In case of Mmorpg's i can imagine a monthly fee, but if you want to play i.e. a game of unreal i think it's ridiculous.
