good idea there.
i remember someone here (i think it was nxs) used to have a server up for some battlefield1942 action so bf:vietnam shuldnt be out of the question.

woohoo, i just got it, and been playin for about 2.5 hours. As a warning, in the multiplayer menu, you must click "update" first in order to display the servers! sounds simple, but it wastn for me. took a while to figure it out. I kept hitting the refresh button, nothing happend, i started to panack!

, but now everythins cool. Took a while to find a non-laggy server, but once i found one, it was truly amazing! i would say right now that the music is the best part of the game, and the m60 machine gun!

also, us dudes with a radeon card might have problemos. apparently, there's lots of visual bugs with the latest drivers, im running on cat 3.10, and have no problems, but others were complainin.

Do the helicopters fly anything like the ones in the Desert Combat mod for Battlefield 1942?? I have just recently been playing Desert Combat and have become quite efficient at killing tanks with the AH-64 Apache. I hope it isnt drastically different!

no the choppers in vietnam is a hell of alot easier to fly than those in DC

so finally someone like me can enjoy it

so since its easier you shuldnt have a problem if your good enough to handle it in DC :thumbup:

OMG the helicopter controls are SOOOOOOOOO MUCH EASIER!!!

, you move your mouse to steer, up arrow to go up..and so forth.., they seem to be ALOT more stable too. -you might have to readjust.

to insert troops and other co-ordinated attacks?

yes, since the helo's are ALOT more steady, you get move slowly to the ground, all awhile stirring up debris(neat effect), and have all your troops dispatch! as far as REAL coordination...not much...people will still be people..they wanna play their "own" way. ya know the story..
