I downloaded it a while ago, and it was working (got connected to ubi), but after a few crashes to desktop i got the same error.

im pretty sure the ubi guys are working on a fix as we "speak"

well the problem may be cause the UBI servers are full like when STEAM as a new release it's really hard to connect :P

try again later, it's all you can do !

Well on the Splinter Cell forum they got a topic of 7pages of complaining about the bugg in the Demo, but there still isent any news about a patch or so

There is a patch. Problem was the demo is missing a PunkBuster-related file folder. I dl'ed it from somewhereorother. Just do a search for "splinter pandora punkbuster" or something and you'll find it.

It worked at first for me, but I tried it again and it didn't work, so, I don't know, your mileage may vary-

It was OK. Lo-res textures weren't great (supposedly they are better in the final version) and I didn't like to spy team camera view. It seems like it'll take time to get used to it. Gotta learn the maps well-

Or just keep plynig Battlefield:Vietnam and Far Cry-
