Wow! Those Panzer screens look fantastic!
The detail on the tanks is first rate.
I'm disappointed, though, with what I read in the interview. Really turned me off when I saw the part about adjusting damage.

I feared you had something against the questions
I don't know much about the game, but they are acting like it has to be the next big thing...

I have to admit, I am a bit of a purist when it comes to military "sims" games. Â*I like stuff that tries to handle combat realistically, so I wasn't real happy about them toning down damage to make it more survivable.
Still, it sure does look great! Â*Hopefully the gameplay follows the looks.
Has any game dev ever indicated that their baby wasn't going to set the world on it's ear?
[edit] I appreciate the questions, you drilled down to what I wanted to know about the game, even if they dodged around a few of the them.[/b][/quote]
Hiya Bucky,
I'd have to say that they'll probably manage to get a nice balance... I mean, not many people liked Close Combat just for the fact that it was too realistic. Speaking of that, I'm reviewing G.I. Combat and have to say that the game really truly, rocks, grab it if you like PURE military games. Ir's everything that Close Combat was, but in 3D.

Thanks Dennis, I was one of those wackos that loved the Close Combat series BECAUSE of the realism.
GI Combat games are ,IMO, one of the best things to come along in the genre since the Close Combat games.
Some of my fondest memories from my high school days are from debating Squad Leader rules over a pool table full of map boards, and those GIC games really bring that back

Yep, I fell in love with Close Combat since the first one came out, and from there on bought all the new ones... Must still have some of the old boxes lying around. Accordingly the entire G.I. Combat review will probably a praise to the game, with a 9/10 or more total score (I know hiv will try and kill me and then lower the scores sometimes, since he HATES us giving high scored to games, being as Hell'ish as we are and all that ;P)

You ever get a chance to play any of Sid Meier's Civil War games?
Those games brought that era of warfare to life! Man, what awesome battles!!!!!!!!
Speaking of the old master himself, you guys got an inside line on what he is up to next?
