I knew this day would come. It was only a matter of time, and technology advancements. When we got our computer, i realised that it was just a family computer - good for internet,music,pictures,etc..- and it couldn't handle what games demanded. That didn't stop me from playing pc games, however. I enjoyed playing games like Battlefield 1942, but as we all know, it's a very demandive game and my computer couldn't handle. To make this situation ever better, at my age, it is very hard to find a job ( 14). So, this means I cannot provide the funds to furnish myself with a new computer. Not only cannot i not get new parts, my computer that I'm on right now has some irremovable ad-ware on it. I would format my hardrive, but we bought this computer with winXp installed on it. That simply means no disc. So, as you see,by my title," The Inevitable has Arisen", was simply implementing that I would have to resort to becoming a console gamer. This is not all totally bad, you still get some good quality games, but no FPS-which is my favorite genre.

I'm sorry to myself that this time had to come, and I'm in a stat of shock.

I know what you are saying, I had that also in the beginning. Now I have a PIII 800Mhz (oh god, awfull). But I am a little older than you so I have some advantage now. I have made the 2 year dark ages and now I am getting an (oh god I like to say this) AMD Athlon 64 2,2Ghz, 1MB BBBBBOOOOOOOOXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXEEEEEEEEDDDDDDDDDD!! If I pass my exams, and I hope I do. Hang in there you will make it. I had bought lately from my allounce (how do you write that) a CD-RW for 31 euro, = 17 pounds = 32 dollar. And I bought (really cheap) a ATI Radeon 9600 256DDR RAM(!) for 109 euro. And in the normal shop it was 169 euro. Ohhh what am I good. But we will think of you every day, maybey we will open a monument for you.

i'm not in much better shape
i've got an amd athalon xp 1600+
384mb sd133 ram
and an ati radeon 7500

but i'm happy enough cause it still plays ut2k4

I'd like for you to be right, but sadly, you're not.I seriously have tried every well known spyware/adware to get rid of it. And to my avail, nothing was cured

I will still be playing console games, however.

On the first part, you are right. The other part is that you can't get viruses and such on a console!

I have told you guys in other threads, Ad-Aware does not work! :P

ad-aware works dude, you just gotta know what to remove manually. Oh, if you DO decide to go console, get and xbox so we can play some xbox live together. That'd be sweetness. The xbox E3 roster looks way more promising than any other system. GET XBOX AND XBOX LIVE!
