Well, I've had a nice personal presentation of the game from a nice Activision employee at E3, and man, it DOES rock . If you liked Shogun or Rome Total War, you will LOVE this game. The battles are massive, but that's not all.. They've got some gameplay elements that are both original and funny at the same time... How would you scare Cartagenean war elephants away for example? You've got a unit that lights pigs on fire and sends them against the elephants. The latter get scared and run away from the former, often while crushing own troops... Really great stuffs

Can't wait to buy this game

Does anyone know the release date?
I'm really lookin forwad to this (Seen the trailer) wuderful game!

Just think of it: You have built an army with 10.000 men (Yes, it is true! You can have that many) and than you suddenly see the enemies coming damn fast against you! You give the command, "hold position" (Learnt it from Medieval and Shogun) and waiting for the perfect time to attack. Let's say you are Rome in this "battle". You give the commands "turtle formation" and your soldiers is making a "turtle" formation! After that you tell your archers to attack with arrows. After some seconds the enemies is too near for archering som you have place your archers behind your swordmen. But what your enemies didn't know, was that you have horsemen BEHIND your swordmen, he he. And just a few seconds before the enemy reach your swordmen, you give your horsemen the command, "ATTACK"! Your horsemen is running right thrugh the enemy and than the swordmen can attack. The battle have begun...

This was actually a little story I remembered from Medieval! From the good, old days (Don't play that much anymore)!
I hope they will soon release it! I can't wait so much longer now.

LOTR's has no strategy compared to the TW series.

all lotr's consists of is getting the biggest monster first then wiping out the entire enemy army with it.

you will get at the very most 500 units in a LOTR's battle.

in RTW you can have up to 48,000.

yes i typed that correctly.

8 players
units of up to 300 men each
20 units

48,000.
