The game that is going to own SilentHill on the scary part?
Yes, it's unbelivable but true, at least in my opinion. This game is for PC (that makes a minus) and is a FPS (that makes another minus). But, please - for the love of God. Have mersy and look at the trailer here!
It's bad quality + it's not fullscreen! But look at it, and BTW don't quit the trailer on the first second of the trailer, because this game takes place in different places. Sometimes, you meet ghosts or whatever, and sometimes you meet soldiers. At the begining, it's like an normal FPS, but later on... God kill me, it scared the **** out'a me!

Please look! I'm doing this for your own good xD! And BTW, go to http://www.gamespot.com for pictures. This might have better graphics then any game out there ; ). Ohwell, I'm not buying this game for the "cool graphics", only for the scary part. Anyway, I'll stop shiting around, here you are and enjoy!:

dude, wtf, for starters there totally different games, doom 3 looks scarey but do you see any retards comparing to survival horror...erm...NO, what makes this game any different, yeah iv seen the trailers, all of em, big whoop yeah it looks good but halo and doom 3 graphically look way better, and as for fear it uses cheap techniques like in the movies, jump out of seat frights which is cool if your 6 years old, it dont scare me at all, thats why i think resi evil series aint scary anymore cos it used the same crappy techniques to scare you, body falling out of closet, light going off then on (omg a monster) then off, then on, its gone..omg where it go?? who cares, sillent hill is and always will be the scariest game out there cos it uses psychological horror not the crap you see in EVERY horror movie EVER. this isnt to say the game dont look good, it does, but only as a standard fps, fear wise, it dont look like its gonna happen (well for me anyway)

and another thing, it steals alot of whats already been done in movies/past horror games, e.g. small freaky girl, now if that aint an over used technique i dont know what is, it was done in silent hill one ffs, and the film RING (original jap version was way WAY better) how can you possible say F.E.A.R is better when its just an imalgamation (sp?) of stolen horror techniques.

another thing the game seems to lack is originality, yeah we've only seen 1-2 supernatural bad guys in the F.E.A.R trailer but man could they not think of ANYTHING better than a little freaking girl, they need imagination, sillent hill always comes up with uterley wierd enemies and you cant say they dont cos they DO! end of story

i could tell people to watch a couple of F.E.A.R trailers then a couple of sillent hill 4 : the room trailers, and if silent hill dont scare people more than F.E.A.R then ill be damned you have no taste.

P.S. wtf is with the stupid fly kick you can do in F.E.A.R if that wont get boring, repetative in about 2 minutes ill eat my pants, and its confusing as hell, oh and lets not forget the utterley amazing/original/superb/immaginative (enter any other sarcastic compliment here) matrix effect with the slow-mo and the stupid water ripple from granades, how can a game rip off so may things and get away with it? who knows

lol your dumb thesicness, u think halo looks better, man u got some bad taste, but man u really gotta cool down i mean its just trying to be a good game and i bet u it will probably be as scary as silent hill 3, or even more. i think silent hill 1 was scariest but resident evil dont got crap, its just oh yay window zombie flies in and grabs u and u make him fall off, then theres one the next room, and oh yay i gotta back track again. i think F.E.A.R will be a good game and would do descent but until doom3 comes out then i will be pissing my pants because i havent really seen the game how it looks on my monitor and my pc. the fly kick will be cool because what if u run outta ammo and u got nothing else to do, hide... or run away. and who cares if theres a little girl maybe ull see some more scarier shit maybe shes just a little part of the movie. i think it looks competitive to farcry because u couldnt really see ur own shadow .

I have to agree, Silent Hill and F.E.A.R have one thing in common- horror. But how each game uses is how each is seperated. I think that each is scarey is in its own way, but F.E.A.R looks pretty damn scary. The Survival/Horror genre in a whole has never been appealing to me as I piss my pants for anything scarey in video games.

Vivendi is shaping up to be a great company. With the current release of Chronicles Of Riddick, they're set for another great action game.

i checked out some in-game footage of F.E.A.R from gamespy, and it looks like it'll be absolutely amazing!

it's got great graphics, and the tension is superb. just watching the videos with the lights on had me pooping my pants!

this is gonna be a game to look out for in the near future!!

how?i mean HOW can you find F.E.A.R scary looking, it looks tame, your either wusses or you aint been playing enough games/ watching enough movies....when i played resi evil the original, i shat my pants i didnt play it for a long time due to fear but then i played and by the time the series was at resi evil 2 it was just lame, same scares same enemies same old same old, nothing scary about it any more, silent hill 1 was freaky (mainly down to the school setting) silent hill 2 was also freaky due to the enemies mainly and the major depressing atmosphere, then 3 came and it did nothing for me, no fright, nothing, was just another game in the series, sillent hill 4 looks alot better, the trailer itself gave me the creeps, but unless F.E.A.R does something really special, i cant see it bieng the scarey experience you all make it out to be, and the whole fly kick thing, could he not just punch or hit with butt of gun instead of some matrix crap, its a total RIP-OFF

maybe its just that im decensatised, like most of the youth of the nation, maybe im just not easily scared, who knows, the game looks good but not amazing, and yes halo 2 looks alot better, every surface bump mapped, lighting is amazing, how can you not agree, many people have said that halo is a 3rd gen title on a 2nd gen platform, so it must be damn good.

F.E.A.R will come then go, but titles with something ORIGINAL and decent will stay around (half life 2, halo 2, doom 3 et)

im not putting the game down, good luck to it, and opinion is opinion, its not my fault you all have a crap opinion...lol...jk

oh and F.E.A.R is some paranormal S.W.A.T team, wtf, just sounds like the ghostbusters re packaged to me...lol
