is it just me or have games gone down hill since the 80s an 90s
games just arnt all that fun any more

im talking a bout games like mega man 2 (rockman 2) an super mario bros 3
2 of the greatest games

I know what you mean i will never forget me sitting on my fatass all day playing sonic, mario all them classics

all the funs been sucked out of games too much focus on graphics if you ask me

Na, I kinda enjoy every game that does come out now a days. Not as much as playing Seiken Densetsu III or Lufia 2 on my SNES... *sigh*...

But still, Half-Life 2 will own every game out there.

yeah i love alot of the new games...... but theres a completely different feel to the old ones.....they were so much more fun for me an i can still sit there playin old skool games an have more fun than alot of their predesesors

I have to agree with you on that part.

Belieave it or not, when I played Seiken Densetsu III (on the PC), i beat it the first day. And you know what? Ten minutes after the credits I started to play the game AGAIN!! All over again! And it's an friggin RPG.

I can NEVER - EVER, play a game and then play it again after beating it.

I can play it again, but I need atleast oen month of waiting before I can replay the game.

if u like old skool so much.. throw away ur PC on ALL ur consoles.. & just stay playin with ur Amiga or SNES or wotever u got

.. i think we still like em so much just coz they're simple n they're still alot of FUN.. but n e way.. we're in 2004, we cant just go back like dat 2 da 80's/90's lol

the thing is, you're not a kid anymore. You've been exposed to games for years, so you won't get the same feeling as you did in the beginning. that's just a fact you have to face. if you like nintendo games then there are plenty of excellent gamecube games with innovative gameplay (try animal crossing and viewtiful joe)

Games aren't that revolutionary like they used to be, for example: take a look at wolfenstein 3d, everybody liked it and played it with lots of fun because it was something completely new! Same (at least for me) with rise of the triads, guts flying around the room, great fun again, cos i hadn't seen something like that before. Something new means more fun i guess! We'll see if the future will bring us some cool new shit,

I guess Half-life 2, will be something completely different.

my best advice is to try types of games that you haven't played before. dont just stick to one or a few genres, and try buying some peripherals to make the games more immersive. i love my logitech driving force pro, because it makes racing games so much more realistic. i really can't wait to play gran turismo 4, but since im heading for the army it'll be heavily delayed
