well, the best method would be just to pay 50 bucks for starter kit 1, and it comes with a year and a headset, plus some demos. Otherwise, you can go to blockbuster, open up rental cases of newer games that are live-enabled, and there should be 3 month free subscriptions inside of the cases. Also, if you buy a new game like splintercellpandoratomorrow, it comes with a free trial. Many other games do also.

Yeah all of the free trials have expired now I think. If you live in the up you can get a Starter Kit off Amazon for £35 and you get a headset with that as well. Thats what I got and its well worth the money

Actually, you can still get some 2 Month trials free in some games. But you can use XBconnect to play games online. Its quite a good little prog, but the number of games you can play on it is a bit small.
