No demo for STALKER??

Noooo! No dl it! Is it too much to ask to make a simple damn demo so you can see if you like it before you spend 40 or 50 on a game? I think not!

lol, me for my part i think they made to much of a hype around the game and now they are not more so sure if the game lives up to it. If they release a demo and it's under hype standart it might break the sell expectation point. If they just release it they know lots of people will just run out and buy it...i think every game needs a demo... :dennis:

I'd think it'd be hard to make a demo for this game, Mainly because its so dynamic you'd have to restrict the player's movement, and restrict zones off, leaving your average joe pretty confused about the full game, because most people dont read up on a game before downloading a demo, they just download it and play.

They could just make a tech demo. Give you 1 square Km to run around and do some funkeyness. Just to show some animel AI and such. HL2 could be a demo like any other FPS game - cut one level out and let us play... :dennis:

Good job being extremely close-minded. Its your loss. Not everything you buy you are allowed to try first, when you order food at a restuarant, are you allowed to taste a bite of it first? When buy a ticket for a theme park, do they let you try out a few rides first? Etc...just by watching videos of it, you should have plenty of an idea of what it will play like, and writing off a game just because of no demo is pretty immature.

Its always been that way; A demo first to see if you like it; and they are usually conspicuous by their absence if there isn't one. I think we can rest assured it won't be one of those cases though.

I mean even with the oiginal Doom we were given a huge chunk for free as shareware, I'm not suggesting ID dish out as 3rd of the game as a demo.,

I mean all they would need is; A room.... a flickering light ...... and a monster.

Yes, in good restaurants they do offer you to have a bite to try if you like or not. I used to work in restaurants and my mother owns one. :dennis: :thumbup:
