i remember playing 4 players in DOOM 2 non stop! this is the BEST news, finaly  gonna stand the whole morning for that 12:01 release  :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup: p.s. DOOM3 can b much better than HL2 also , its ID we r talking about here (the mother of the FPS games) :francesco:

For one thing, I think people saying that the x800 won't run Doom 3 on full spec are full of shit. I read a benchmark test on Doom 3 that was running on a Nvidia 5900 and it was getting pretty solid frame rates and medium detail; plus the guy at the 6800 launch said that it would "cut trough Doom 3 with everything on", so the x800 should do it no sweat. I'm guessing that even a 5900xt would be enough. As for people saying the game was shit in the Alpha, well, what can I say: it was Alpha, but the atmosphere the game generated was better than any horror movie that massive budget films are putting out these days. It's worth the money just for that alone!

I'm afraid that the single player will tide me over, but the multiplayer will be just about as good as Painkillers multiplayer. Deathmatch with a few weapons and a little innovation. All I want is a new and fresh mode that keeps me playing Doom3 long after I beat the single player. I don't think it will be more than run and gun 4 player tho, and that sucks. ID, if the mplayer does suck, lemme squat on your face and poop into your mouth. :francesco:

I with fycus on the mp thing, but hey, i'm a UT guy, don't care for ID mp :P
I still don't know if i'm going to buy it. As for HL2, i'm sure i'll buy, because it'll have not only HL2, but CS source and HL source.

doom 3 atlast! seriously if you want to get enjoy it to the max get a 9600 xt or better! im on holiday for 2 months and will play doom 3 during the day go to bed, wake up, play all day go to bed, wake up etc........... you know what im saying :P

DOOM 3!
THIS GANE BETTER BE GOOD, cant wait now hopefully the confirmed demo will be out before the release is the multiplayer online? or network only? i can imagine my self sitting infront of my computer watching this game install, those couple of minutes are going to seem like a lifetime, then BOOM ! my bowels will let loose.
