i have definitely gone with DS i just dont know why, i rather play with a new way than just been there done that on the psp. psp seems to use the same stuff in a ps2 but just portable but, i dont think it would that great probably for people that like ps2 more than gamecube would buy it. but look at DS already they already got how many companies with nintendo already. I dont know much about psp. i most likely would get a psp later but after its like 100 dollars or someshit because its ps2 again but i aint wasting 300 dollars for some same ps2 portable system. DS i dont really care about the graphics. I think it would be cool to actually have a touch screen and i think metroid prime hunters would be an alright game. And especially mario would be badass. both systems have some ups and downs but they're both different and as long as they're different then its cool. I just dont want a ports gone to psp because then its ps2 again and i dont like ps2 that much. DS would be pretty badass with fps and i wouldnt mind crappy graphics or whatever but its really no big deal.
Mhhhh i sound like i said everything over and over again. |

I'm definitely going to get a DS. Gameboy is awesome. Sony PSP looks pretty good and all, but keep in mind that many portable consoles (last count about 10 or something like that) have gone up against the Gameboy and most of them have failed pretty miserably. Say what you will about the Gamecube (GCN =
DS Pros: Strong 1st party lineup. 2 screens equals double the fun. Folding design protects screen. PSP Pros: Strong 3rd party lineup. Plays games AND some media. BIG screen.

I do have to give Nintendo some Kudos. While other systems may have some nice games, Nintendo has been the alpha-and-omega of innovative game designs. Just look at Mario, Donkey Kong, Mario Kart, and many more. While I certainly not have listed all of their greats, there is still plenty more to be dealt with. As much as i want to vote the Nintendo DS, I will have to keep my vote firm at PSP, and hope I'm right. What i do think is the DS will still be the highest sold handheld because Nintendo has had previous knowledge with the other numerous handhelds made. Playstation will unfortunately lose the race, but they will learn well with their mistakes.
So, Jammin. I think you are right on this. But all I can do is hope you are wrong

i think that the psp will be far better than ds even if it costs more! i recon even though nintendo do alright with consoles sony usually does a better job with the specs on the console aswell as the quality of the games(no offense to people who like nintendo)

I admit that the PSP looks like quite a cool console, but it is definitely gonna fail. quite a lot of the people who buy handheld consoles are uneducated about the specs and everything (they may be buying the console for a kid, or something). If they walk into a shop and see the new gameboy next to a sony psp, they'll go for the gameboy every time. the fact that it's half the price is just the icing on the cake. Sony's PSP may appeal to hardcore gamers like yourself, but the average handheld gamer wants something simple, original, colourful, and easy to pick up and play.

Yeah definately the PSP. Most Nintendo games are nice but incredibly short. I can't help that it will be thew same on the DS. Even though it'll probably be more expensive I'd still go for the PSP.

I'd be very suprised if Nintendo are going with a dual screen just so they can have a map........ shows your game design skills aren't up to much Lets just hope there is some pretty good use of the dual screen setup! I'm quite looking forwars to it myself. |
