DS or PSP

Well that's a matter of opinion.

Personally I'd much rather be playing unique, innovative games like Metroid Prime; and also classic games like Mario Kart and Mario 64x4 than the re-hashed crap that'll come out on psp,

Why is everyone putting graphics on a handheld system on such a high pedestal? Graphics are very important, yes, but they aren't everything. Plus, how do we even know PSP games will look so much better than DS games? I've yet to see even one PSP gameplay video. Everytime a handheld console has tried to top Nintendo in the handheld market they have failed. Game Gear, Atari Lynx, Neo Geo Pocket, every single one. Despite what anyone says, Nintendo knows handhelds. As for games, Nintendo went out and made their console different with the dual screens, so we will definitely be seeing new forms of gameplay on the DS that would be impossible on any other console. Also, they decided not to move on to discs to store their games, but rather to keep them on cartridges. PSP will undoubtedly have some good games and MAYBE prettier graphics, but I can't really see it doing anything that the PS2 can do better. Plus it will probably have a much lower battery life because of the moving parts in the CD drive, a flaw that has killed handhelds in the past. I like to get a different experience on my handheld, one designed around portability, and I think the Gameboy line will continue to do that best.

Also, can everyone please stop dropping one line responses or saying they want one cuz the other sucks? Keep this from turning into a flame war.

Yeh I agree new DS looks pimping, Im still for the PSP, But I really don't want to argue about this... they are both good... with good games coming out, but the DS is cheaper(but for a good reason, overkiled games(mario kart v18?, super mario v200? Metriod version 6??, but they are still fun, so its really what attracts you) and it can't play DVDs, o yeh and the psp screen is nearly the size of those 2 combined, reviewers also say its brighter, crisper, and clearere.(more expensive though)

Also... Overkilled games? You've got the wrong system mate! PSP consists of re-hashed ps2 games... Whereas the DS has some truly new and innovative titles (Metroid may be a sequal, but never before has it been played with a touch-screen and stylus).

Yes all those handhelds were beaten by nintendo gam boy but everything must change. its 2004 not 1996.why not DC for some reason that they were already said. i dont care about the graphics or the dvd or music,i care about the games. Nintendo has good games but not good enought. Nintendo will have kickass rpgs and rateed E game like Mario Metroid prime, Pokemon. I want Grant turismo 4 and other Ps2 game like GTA not Mario sorry. I kind of feels like you are compering GameCube with PS2. Well if you into pokemon and Mario you wount make a wrong choice by buying DS.

i dont want gt4 on a handheld though, i want it on my tv, with my stereo providing the audio
