Its not new CS its just CS ported onto the source engine.... still it looks pretty good unless your a barrel hater lol

Yup, it looks good. But as said before, good graphics doesn't make a good game.

people are complaining about crappy barrel physics and bad shadows. interesting. I always thought the appeal of half-life 2 came from the interactivity--picking up barrels with the manipulator and shooting them through walls... of course valve did lie about it at E3, but if they've managed to pull it together since then it could be awesome. I think the thought of blowing window blinds out of their frames and tearing heaters off of walls and throwing them at people makes up for crappy barrel physics.
There is no way to tell whether valve has made the game live up to their promises until someone plays it.

when he says "the demo" he's talking about the source code leak.. when it got leaked, the level with the e3 demo that was shown by valve they said was not scripted but the leak revealed to everyone that it really was scripted. valve lied to us and we never woulda known if it wasn't for the leak.

Why do Valve keep lying so damn much?!

First they say September 2003 release, then they decide to add another year to that.
Then they say "no scripting" but that's absolute balls.
And they also state that the minimum specs will be a 700mhz processor, but then they almost double that!

I HATE THEM!
