erm skybuck or whatever the f**k his name was said something like "ragdols look crap because THEY LOOK LIKE DOLLS" or some stupid shit anyway, but the thing is the doom 3 "rag doll physics" aint really ragdoll, they created it them selves (or altered it themselves) basically instead of most ragdoll physics they dont fly about when you shoot them they slup to the floor (they have weight just like a real body would have) they only real time the physics come in is when they fall down stairs/ off ledges etc, so shut yourface about the rag doll physics of doom.

I like to think of it as a nice special effect that will make DOOM 3 AWESOME

erm you think that one effect is goin to make doom 3 awsome, are you retarded or something, the game would have been awsome anyway, its just a tiny wieny bit less aweome due to the vanishing bodies

It's better then all other games... where they just faded away or just disappear...

erm dunno about everyone else but a dissapearing body is a dissapearing body, no matter how they do it its gonna look like crap and detract from the whole mood of the game.

And besides from that.. having to much bodies around would slow down the game considerably !!

yes i have actually, and do you honestly think that is the reason for the slow down dumb ass, it was unoptimised for home pc use hence the reason it was slow, even though i didnt find it too bad, and btw the bodies in the alph had no ragdoll physics applied to them, so thats why they died kinda crapy, there was only ONE zombie which had it and it was at the top of some stairs that when killed tumbled down, not stupidly like most ragdoll enables games, but believably

forgot to mention, in the ahem dodgy version i had a while back a lot of the enemies would get back up after u'd killed em, if bodies are burning straight into thin air surely that rules out the possibility of corpses gettin up and chasin you? that was one of the finer points i was looking 4ward 2
