DOOM 3, Is the MP Actually any good?

... I mean cummon, i've played on the MP and it really is poor.
The levels (i think there are 5) are pretty damn small & you all play as humans as far as i could tell.
What i really could of done with was Deamons Vs Humans! now that would be the 'Dog's B'
Don't get my wrong the SP (Single Player, for the n00bs out there :P ) Is beatiful
But in my opinion the MP is just Pants, no thats an understatment! Its soiled nappies! (Like the ones i'm supposabally* wearing LOL

)
Anyway, does anyone agree? Those of you who have played the MP.

Give it time, Give it time. The game looks soo powerful that I would think that few game servers have the cpu power to host a server over a couple people. SO let technology adapt with the servers, then we'll see some real carnage.

I suppose Milkdudman,
I mean obviousally some time a mod will be released for DOOM 3 that will perhaps improve the MP in some ways!
But honestally i doubt it will ever live up to Half-Life 2 MP, no f**king way!
Half-Life 2 is the Bog's B.
Even though both DOOM 3 & Half-Life 2 have an excellent Single Player mode, I know for a fact that Half-Life 2 MP kicks DOOM 3's ass at MP!
Anyway i'm not sure why i brought Half-Life 2 up, hay i have it on the brain like for the past 2 years, when i was told there would be a sequal.
While i'm on the subject of Half-Life I may aswell ask the question...
Q: How long have you played Half-Life for?

I've played it since, umm 1998 i think & have been playing on the MP Mods for 5 yrs including Day Of Defeat & Counter Strike. Which are the best MP games i've ever played. So for me Half-Life 2 is an essential possesion. I need it soo bad!

Any way what i'm trying to say is that the DOOM 3 MP is soo shite compared to Half-Life 2 MP, & just as a MP its crap anyway.
I'm glad i got DOOM 3 for Free

For i don't even want to go on the Crappy MP anyway!

MP is actually fun to play. I just got of a server and it was a blast. I just wish there were more maps but the Mod com won't let us hang for to long I guess :dennis:

I have to say that Counter Strike Source just doesn't look much better than the original at all, apart from the water. It just looks like the same bollocks that is CS! I remember playing the original Doom mp back in the day and it was class. This should be the same.

I thought the MP was awsome. A lot of people i have played with say "Dang, this is a lot better then i thought it would be with only 4 people."

They did a great job making 4 player dm fun. Deathmatch with so few players has never been so much fun IMO.

Are you blind? the Half-Life 2 engine is soo class it could make any game amasing! Taking an excellent MP game such as CS
and runnig it with the H-L 2 engine, UGH! thats just drool worthy!
For all CS lovers out there and MP lovers Counter Strike Source Is a must have!
Not to mention all the other mods coming out for H-L 2 for e.g: Day Of Defeat, some Jurassic Park mod, etc.. can't be assed thinking of them all.
but i strongly think H-L 2 MP will be better than DOOM 3 MP!
In fact i already know it is!

CS Source is a mod, T
he actualy HL2 multiplayer will be around the lines of the original, which sucked. CS Source won't have a lot of people per, mainly because its netcode is going to be as bandwith heavy as Doom3, its the physics that does it.
My opinion of CS Source: Its the same peice of shit that Valve has been pushing for th past 5 years, wrapped up in pretty graphics, and smaller player servers.

as for HL2 Singleplayer: Could be good, could be bad
also, the only program valve haas written by themselves is Steam, and we all know how well that works(HL2 is built around Steam), so the engine should be pretty slow, system intesive, and glitchty.

(HL's engine in case all of you didn't know, is really just the Quake2 engine)

You can't judge them until they are both out
As for Doom3 Mulitplayer, I have yet to see a bad statement about it in a single review or impresison, most of the people seem to say its better then you would think, and really fun.

ive just completed doom 3 about 10 mins ago and im quite dissapointed!

the realism is f**ked is cant move certain objects!

let me tell you took 10 hours to complete and the ending is f**ked trust me i know!

And omg the multiplayer sucks! 5 godamn maps! and no there not big there feucking small glad i didnt pay for this!

seriously people who say give the multiplayer a chance ! i did give it a f**king chance and it sukcs!

got to use special weapon to kill the ultra massive tall demon at the end! i wanted to chat to more scientists and blow there heads off!

to people starting up on the beggining of doom 3 get the console and put god and all weapons on and shoot all the main characters its a right laugh!
