People people, calm down a bit and follow the link you see in my post to get your registration-key.
In order to get the key you only need to have a Gamespy-account and that's totally free.

Looks like the installer was a bit messed up because sometimes you come to the old AC2-beta page. I simply restarted the installer and VOILA! got my key.

Short review of E&B:
GRAPHICS: Lots of eyecandy, incredibly beautiful game. It really gives you that "Hey mom, I'm in space!"-feeling.
MUSIC & SOUND: Very nice music, great ambient-sounds and weapons go BOOM, ZAP, BOING in a nice way.
GAMEPLAY: Chill out, manufacture weapons and other stuff, race around space like exploring or attack everything you see. One cool thing was that you don't actually have to kill anything in order to gain levels. You gain experience in 3 different areas which are Trading, Exploration and Combat. There's pretty much to do in this game. For a while at least.
COMMUNITY: This is a VERY important thing when it comes to MMORPGs and after 9 hours of testing I came to this conclusion. The community is awful. I had to turn off all the major chat-channels so I could focus on learning the ropes instead of listening to peoples childish bickering.
OVERALL: Being a huuuge fan of the Elite-series (personally I think Privateer was the suxx) this game sounded like a dream come true when I first heard of it. But this game isn't Elite in multiplayer. It's more like Capitalism. Monotone and boring for the average-Joe.
Oh well, time to go back to Dark Age of Camelot.
