Test Ran with the Comp in my Sig" Below.
I Ran each test once only. Under normal load.
53 Processes Running, including Edonkey, Email,
Yahoo, MSN, Norton AntiVirus etc.....
I used the Timedemo demo1.demo
To run a Test, Run Doom 3, then bring down the console by pressing CTRL-ALT-~ (Tilde button)
then type in timedemo demo1.demo wait for test to complete and run again if you wish.
These things did not change.

I try and run my tests under normal loads, and normal operations. You only load doom once when you play it, you don't go re doing each level or scene to make it run smoother the second time. But for this test I ran it once only, I have ran some of the other settings twice and the average is maybe 1FPS higher. But I don't care for benchmarks either normally, I think they are false and misleading, as many people don't tell you the full settings they are running the game on, and the driver options they have ticked. And some people restart the computer and do a fresh test each time. or even defrag after every test, so I've read on a few other forum sites. So I just did it for the hell of it.
I thought more people would have given their specs out. but oh well.

It's not too shabby Tiger, you could try moving down to Low/ 1024x768 / 2xAA
These are the results I got from 'timedemo demo1.demo':
Resolution: 1024x768
Display settings: Medium
AA level: None
1. 37.3 fps
2. 40.0 fps
Resolution: 800x600
Display settings: High
AA level: None
1. 40.2 fps
2. 48.0 fps

I only ran it once... 2 time try yields
Test 1 = 49.8 FPS (1024x768 Medium)@ 43 seconds, 2 hitchs when he busts out the flashlight
Test 2 = 55.0 FPS (same settings) 39 Seconds, 0 hitchs
My custom optimized settings seems to work VERY nicely, as my computer isn't much better then most the people here and I seem to have the single highest run(no overclocking), on 1024x768(medium res, medium settings) 55 FPS@ 39 seconds
Driver settings are High for all, App Pref for AA and AF(quality), and vsync off. So basically its the highest you can go using App Pref whenever you can.
