Hey guys, I saw that ATI has released 4.9 beta Fix for Doom3 ! Is it any good ?
Will other games gonna run fine? My MACHINE! AMD Athlon XP 3000+ 1Gb DDR400Mhz R Sapphire 9600 XT 256MB 80Gb HDD :thumbup

In short:It made two frames for me and all my stuff runs perfectly fine(incl. Thief3, The Suffering, NFSU, Generals and Splinter Cell2,last but not least Manhunt and Codename panzers!)

The 4.9 was aimed at x800 cards...so if you don't have an x800 you might as well stick to 4.7

Actually the 4.9 Beta drivers improved my fps (dramatically) in DOOM3. Plus I have a Radeon 9800 Pro 128mb.
It runs all my other games fine yeah (CS/CoD/BF:V/FarCry). I think you'll notice the fps increase if you've been having problems prior, |

itll still boast your perfroamnce in all OpenGL games, the 9600XT should see about 5% improvment

It improved my frame rate a little too. Only reason not to go it is if you were busy...

Where the hell did you guys find a 4.9 version? It's not even in the main site. Only thing available is 4.7
