It's funny that 3DREALMS news piece a few days ago said "We're still here" when some game magazines think They are be dead. That's what it appears they are to Computer Gaming World. They have a monthly section in their magazine called "Pipeline" where they talk about their "educated guesses" on game release dates. As everyone knows (or should know) by now, the release date for Duke Nukem Forever is "When it's done".
Last month DUKE NUKEM FOREVER were labeled "Never", and now he is labeled "RIP" by the article's author Rich Laporte. Be curious to see what Rich has to say when DNF is released.

Hrm, actually Rich is the one running Gone Gold, and he is truly one of the most knnowledgeable people around. The cokumn in CGW is just one of the OTHER things he does (I remember he used to (still does?) run a similar column in PC Gamer). And as a matter of fact I respect him and his opinion enormously, since game reporting is what he's doing for the last five years or so. So he might just be right on that one

If 3DREALMS would dismiss the rumours by releasing screenshots every few days, trailers (once a week preferably) and give out mad interviews (all exclusive to GH, of course

), I'd say that Rich is wrong. But right now no one really knows what's going on, and they've been saying "when it's ready" for the last three or so years. Maybe they either need to:

- Hurry up with the game
- Hire a new PR person (me, me, me, me, me, me... &#33

- Give GH an exclusive interview

Then people would know they are actually there, and doing something.

Well, what about Thief 3? That's a game we've heard absolutely nothing about, but people don't doubt that it's being developed. 3d realms have hired people not too long ago, so I'm sure they're still working on it, but I don't think we'll see it for a while..

... while some people left the development team because they no longer wanted to work on it... Daikatana 2, anyone?

how can you give an interview of a game that doesn't exist?

I find quite irritating 3Drealms attitute. They keep treating us like fools. They still tell Us that DNF will be the best game ever with teh best grafics. Even if it is based on the Unreal Engine.

They still want to milk the Duke Nukem cow even telling Us lies. Not ethical if you ask me.
