What about this title ? Any news/recommendations ? On another forum I read they ruined the game, making it much more simple and arcade-ish instead of sticking with concept. I hope that isn't thruth.

I loved the original GR but this one looks like it was made for console. it reminds me of Operation Desert Storm.
I just hope the first person view keeps the feeling of the original...otherwise it's useless to me.

Its 3rd person, and you only play as one guy, its not at all like the original, its more of a socom from what ive read

You supposed to be able to swith the view of 1st and 3rd person. you controll a squad of 4 men (6 in the original)

Yea ...and when i first saw the screens it looked like a console game a ps2 or some kind of ugliness ..

i dont think it would be like / better then the old series of GR

i don't know about the 1st 3rd switch but from ive read its 3rd person.(same with the screens)

However, I am sure about the squad thing, you can't jump from body to body, you command the squad, but you ONLY control that 1 person, they want to make it feel like you are that guy or something

With regards to 1st / 3rd person:

You play the game with a 3rd person view, but you can also toggle a zoom function for you weapon (the zoom amount varies depending on the weapon) which brings you into a 1st person view, looking down the sights of the gun. I'm not sure whether you can move in this view or not, i assume you can.

you should watch the E3 video. There she explains that you play the game in 3rd person but you can switch to 1st person if you like the original gameplay style.
About the squad and changin chars i don't know...but the more I hear about GR2 the less I wanna have it.
They menaged to f**k up R6 3 with their "get the n00bs in" gameplay style....if that happens to GR2 then it marks the end for UBI and Red Storm for me.
