I think they went all out on the effects, sounds, etc...the nades are just amazing, that flashbang effect is classic, and the gunbattles have that feeling that makes them so intense...great game but it has a few problems that I fear wont be fixed (auto snipers unbalanced, too many random headshots, etc)

I brought cs:cz just to play it at my LAN parties with my friends... I did have cs from beta, but un-installed it at version 1 and sold all my copies of the various add-ons, etc for part exchange for Morrowind, which was quite a good deal.

cs:source beta is a good attempt at re-creating the better parts of cs with a new engine, I cannot wait until the full version just to see what cs_assault and cs_militia are like!
