Did you like the new Half life 2 Movie?

So did anyone like the new Half Life 2 movie short? i thought it was pretty neat, it Demonstrated alot of things that you can do in the game.. and when that guy gets blasted off that crane.. god damn that was somethin else.. if you havent seen it, i recommend downloading it, its worth the wait.

If ur talkign about the ragdolls Go play UT2k4 instead. or Farcry, or DOom3 with ungibbable, or MaxPayne2, or painkiller, or MoHPA Demo, or tribes vengace. or a ton of other games. Ragdolls aren't new, Ut2k3 started using them with karma in 2002.

how is this dissing HL2?

I asked what video, and said if your talking about ragdolls, tons of other games have them. go check them out too.

Hell HL2 isn't coming out for a couple months at best(november-December at best, some people would say "if ever" or "when Duke nuke forever comes out" but ill just go off the Nov-Dec thing) might as well give props to other games that had it too, if u like the effect, actually try it out in game in some other games.

Thats also some history on the effect.

Reasons for me not being a crazy hl2 fanboy: Valve is overhyped, they are a developer with 1 game in 7 years under their belt, and horrible, horrible deleys. Hl2 is overhyped, its effects and graphics are not that amazing. All of valves products have been glitchy as hell, taking years to fix. HL/CS has a pain in the ass community.

If you fight for HL2's hype, I will fight against it.
If you fight against HL2 sayings its "like quake2", I will fight for HL2.

Im quite a neutral person, theres just too many HL2 fanboys running around.

The video is the one called... shore or something. It takes place on a shore so.. yeah you can imagine. Anyway on the subject of UT2k3 ragdolls omg lol that was some funny stuff. falling down those pits in bomb run or.. god i cant remember what you call it. but yeah i do have fond memories of racking myself continuously on the bars and spiky things in thsoe pits. haha i thought that was the coolest thing.

And yes i thought the video was awesome. Seen it before though in the E32k4 demonstration. Innovation is what HL2 is all about, as you can see from the various ways they let you do stuff. Killing someone with a crane by dropping a box on them? cmon. That's fannnntastic. So many possibilities, I really want to see what the mod community can do with things like that. The gravity gun is going to kick all kinds of ass. I'm going to beat the game using just that.

Before anything about shadows is mentioned, if they aren't fixed at retail, I will be shocked.
