DoInThIs4FuN u must read the New " for dummies " book like carnage did.
back to ur thread well lets see: ![]() ![]() My impressions: Gorgeous looking. The dynamic lights and shadows are exquisite, Mr. Fisher is rendered beautifully, everything looks wonderfully crisp (more power to the high res PC monitor over the t.v. screen! The controls (about which I was most worried) are surprisingly well done, with the mousewheel determining Mr. Fisher's speed of movement (it seems there are 4, from sneak to run). I think they did a great job with the keyboard & mouse setup. As far as the camera setup, it works. For me, at least. The mouse allows freelook as well as panning around Mr. Fisher (the better to see his cool moves), and when you move it's camera relative, not character relative: for example, if you're looking at Mr. Fisher's front view hit the forward key and he'll turn and walk away from the camera (his back towards you), automatically switching you to over-the-shoulder view. game over --dark_angel-- |

The problem I have encountered so fars is that i cannot get this game to run in any other resolution then 640x480
When I put it in 1024x768, in which I can run basically every other game, Â*I get these weird visuals out of which I cannot make up the menu... I can't use 800x600 for the same poblem and 1280 doesn't work for any game with my monitor, so I didn't even try that. Alas I'm now at work, So I'll try to fix it when I get home again. owyeah, if u wanna run save-mode cuz u fu(ked up the reso. Run it like this in DOS-prompt: \system\Splintercelldemo.exe -safe

Finally managed to get in several hours on the Xbox with this one.
It took me while to get by going ooh and aah over the graphics, but once I did, I found a damn solid game underneath. It reminds me of a high tech Thief. There is always the tension that if you get seen, you could be in for a world of hurt. Sam is a capable fighter, but he just doesn't have the firepower to deal with soldiers armed with assault rifles. One of the moves that really jazzed me was rappelling down a wall. That is sweet! If you decide to draw your weapon, Sam will lock down his rappeling rope before drawing, so it's very nicely done. You can also make what the police call a "dynamic entry". Kick out from the wall and bust through the window. Very cool. There are a ton of ways to approach a given situation. "Do I try and sneak up on that guard and snatch him while the other guard isn't looking? Shoot them both in the head (am I close enough to be that accurate?) Make noise to get them to come investigate and sneak by?" This game makes you think through a situation before you act. I love that! And there is a cohesive storyline to go with it. Only thing that I see could be a problem is the same issue Max Payne had, it just isn't a very long game.
