Demo info

Hey there guys, it's been a very long time since I posted here last time B)

Am I the only one here that wants more info about the demos that are available here? I want to know wether there's comes an unistallation program with the demo. I just hate it when you download a demo, and then when you're bored of it, you can't freakin uninstall it!! :rant: Why does some of the games not register in the computer so that you can see it in the install/uninstall/repair-list (in windows that is)??

And why does some not have an unistallation program? (even though that is the last option)


I couldn't really find a "complaint" kind of forum and it didn't really fit in to "Gameplay"...

Please someone try to do something about this horrible problem of ours :angel:

true true... Full Spectrum Warrior did something to my Direct X and it makes my graphics drivers screw up.

Uninstallers are a definate must... and GH had a full version of this Tank game... hours later it got removed because it had commercial spyware on it...

Looking at your text at the bottom, I presume you are part of the GH staff Rhett..So do you know if someone can make sure that the demos in the future will be equipped with an uninstallation program?

Demos are there for a reason, and if demos in some cases
continue not working right I will continue not downloading them!

Just to let you know, we have no control as to what the demo contains. They send it to us, we post it

However, my original idea was not to start a demo revolution, but to give information about the demos, so that we would know if you can uninstall it the right way, not having to erase the files the wrong way!

Can someone, just anyone, say if it's possible to write on the site if the demo itself is uninstallable, for example in the text that tells you about it? Wouldn't it be cool if you could have a little info-square with short facts? B)

we can add text to filehell sites, but you should realize that thoroughly testing each and every demo or whatever would take up quite a lot of time. if someone wants to volunteer then feel free to let us know, but right now it's more important to us that we host stuff right away than to test for spyware, check for uninstall programs and whatever else.

also, just learn to use regedit and in most cases you can "save" yourself from demos that don't have uninstall programs

So it's completely harmless to just erase a software, eg demo, with regedit?

I'd volunteer.. but... y'know.. I doubt francy would like that... plus I don't dare help GH.
