lol, a rating before the game has even been close to gold...

Not even close? Valve handed it over to Vivendi already to check it out, and I read earlier today that a gold post was made, but then erased, which leads me to believe it's very close to gold and someone just spoke up a little too quick. And even if it isn't close to gold, wouldn't that make the 96 even more impressive? 96% for a game that still needs to work the kinks out is frickin awesome, lol. As for the pricing packages, not a big deal. $50 for normal game and CS:Source is a great deal, since I would pay the 50 for just the game and probably another $30-40 for CS:Source. I would prefer to have HL1 with it, but can't have everything. Plus with my HL2-ATI voucher I'm getting the basic package free. $100 is a lot, you are right, but you get HL2, CS, DOD, HL1, all on the source engine, PLUS a shirt and crap that I can't think of right now. And plus, if you don't want the extras, don't buy the extras. Why is everyone whining about this? Someone said they were worse than ID's 55 for doom3, but did Doom include an upgraded version of a wildly successful mod or offer a slightly more expensive version with Doom rendered in it's glorious new engine, no. (But it was still good, so who cares.) I think a lot of people here just don't like HL2 and want to bitch about it.
