I played doom 3 on my friends computer. It was boring as hell. Walking and killing some stupid monsters in the dark. Was this game ment to scare people? Didnt scare me. I gots the HL2 beta but its not much. Only a couple of games deserv my money and they were and will be : Dungeon Siege, Hidden and Dangerous 2 and expansion, Dungeon Siege 2, Guild Wars, STALKER. Other games dont worth my money. Doom lost 10 million, huh tough luck. Lower the price and make a good plot,story,game play, and not repetetive. You got all those thing, than you gona get a lot of buyers. Developers should listen to people, especially the modders cause a lot of times they know what people want. I dont download games all the time, my library has PC,GC,PS2,XBOX,GBA,GBC, games that you can rent for 2 weeks 2$. I love that option.If im not downloading then i am renting.

I think Stalker will be one of the best games of 2004 the idea of a persistent enviroment that alters over time is a breakthrough in terms of enviroment interaction, lets just hope they have a good physics model in place too.

Doom 3 was far too retro, gaming has moved on since the days of 486's. Perhaps ID would be better concentrating on developing next gen graphic engines and leasing them out to more creative development teams. Oh and isn't the flash light weapon switch the most annoying idea ever? oh and don't even mention the soul cube wtf??

Best games of 2005.

Physics engine looked good too.

LOL, id invented the idea of leasing out engines. Doom3 was good, I just loved the simple fun, sometimes I just want the Expirance to Play me.
