S.T.A.L.K.E.R: The shadow of Chernobyl

What do you think it will be? The game, that really rocks or just another piece of shit?
As we can see on the official game site www.stalker-game.com, graphics is really good! Besides game have it`s own new 3D-engine called X-Ray, that was created by S.T.A.L.K.E.R developers especially for this game.

More than that, it was a lot of postponements for game release. The last one developers has comment as "Awaiting of more advantageous regulations on game`s market"

So what do you, guys, think?

I don't want to start talking about it all over again, go read some articles including the Gamers Hell first impression on the game HERE and others here or check this page for more :thumbup:

About the delay, we should all thank them because the game was due to come out without mp support, but take to the time to create one and now it has its own mp too

Yeh i herd about them adding multiplayer support which will be cool coz you can modify your guns and stuff. Will be interesting, except i KNOW my piece of crap(my pc) wont be able to handle it, i've gotta see what the minimum specs are.

Well the minimum that they FIRST said is about Pentium II 450 MHz, 128 Mb RAM and GeForce2 MX.

Now they got some new minimum spec (because of the large ads to the engine and dx9 full support) but I do not know what it is, no body knows. (You can play the game under dx8.1 or dx9 just for better compatibility to your graphic card)

I can only say that when i`ve tried to play STALKER`s alpha version (which includes 4 zones with bots and same zones without bots) on PIII 550, 256DDR, 64 Gf2mx400 i`vee seen a pretty good results. so i thing it will be looks fine on P4 1800 or AMD 1500, 256DDR, 64Video.

yeah, the alpha ran pretty good...but you couldn't set all details up.
