i have never been and never will be a fan of CS or HL or the gawd awefull DoD. or any of the mods for that matter.
but HL:2 and every thing ive seen of it, and yes played of it, screams game of the year,, game of the decade, and game of anything else.
yet still they insist on cheezy graphic explosions and sounds and such. its sad,, but true. dont play the first one,, you will have plenty of the first one in HL 2.

and yes doom 3 was a total let down. total waste of time. 1 go thru of single player, maybe 2 and thats all,, and a multiplier thats near impossible to play, because of some backyard network programming. games that handle 60+ people dont require the bandwidth that this game sucks up for 4-6 players. why ?? stupid programmers who dont know network code, and the networking optimizations that DX 9 has to offer.

HL2 better have better networking or its dead in the water the minute it comes out.

Go somewhere else for this arguement, I agree with you on some points, but this thread is not the place my friend.

@ Everyone Else:

Counterstrike Source is currently the only available product via steam that is produced with the source engine. All other releases, such as HL2 and HL:S will be available upon official release. Pre-load now and enjoy CS:S for a couple of weeks until the release of HL2. I now officially own the silver package through steam, but am unable to play HL2 as it is still in the 'Coming Soon' field. Ah well CS:S de_aztec will have to do... :thumbup:

Yeh.. well I am looking more to HL:S as a fun game then HL2. My only interest in HL2 is seeing if valve can actually make something else. CS:S oy... I don't even want to play it. Give it 1 week before there are just as many hackers as in CS.
(great screen collection thougH, i seriously don't think the game looks the hype in graphics still though, gotta love the collection to look at what it has to offer(im not going to argue how much that actually is))

I played CS and i couldnt stand. Its a piece of garbage. You get shot so easy thats its not funny. One kidsaid "I dont like you guys, you cheat." I would slap that douchebag if i could. I dont really cared about HL2 cause it is and was overated. I am still waiting for some awsome games to come. I dont undestand why people still play HL. I know its because o mods but the graphics and the people are so f**king anoying.

I never liked CS either. I can understand that it could be liked around the time it came out. What i dont understand is how people some people continuously play it and will refuse to acknowledge there are other better games to play.
