Half-Life 2 Steam Offers Ready Thursday
October 6, 2004, 2:30 pm · valve Tomorrow at 11 am PST, the Half-Life 2 Steam offers will be ready for purchase. Those who purchase via Steam, will receive the final version of Counter-Strike: Source immediately. Half-Life 2 and other games in the Steam offerings will be made available to purchasers upon their release. ATI/Half-Life 2 bundle owners may redeem their product key for the Bronze offer or apply their key toward the purchase of either the Silver or Gold offers, receiving a credit equal to the price of the Bronze offer. Also tomorrow, the Counter-Strike: Source beta will close. Valve would like to thank the thousands of gamers who participated in the beta and helped make it a success. Whoa, yeh baby yeh!!

Why download onto hard drive when you could buy the hard copy and use it on any future computer you buy.

Yeah.. and I saw they lowered the prices a little.. I might cancle my preorder at EBG for this maybe Silver version... Gold isn't bad for 90$ though.. could spiff up my game room even more... although I could care less about CS: Source and DOD (DOD SUCKS.) but HL 1 should be interesting...

Me need a key. God stupid valve doesnt want to release HL2. If they are not going to release it on november 1 i will say f**k it and will buy Medal of Honor Pacific Assault and H&D2 Expansion woohoo if i will get any money.

Im not going to buy anything right from valve or their steam.
Im going to by the box copy, so at least viendi can get some money from valves greed.

I gonna stay in front of the store and beat up the first kid (that's smaller and weaker of course) that buys the game and take it away from him/her.
Sounds hard but it's only for their own good....and saves me a couple of bucks.... |

I already did the whole pre-loading thing and will definately be buying the silver package from steam. Don't you think they'll have some way to make a cd backup of the files we downloaded?
If you're a DoD fan like I am then Steam is the way to go! Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. :thumbup:
