it probably won't be released anytime soon if at all. the lead designer from the first mafia left the team recently

I heard that they aint doing one. I think it had something to do with money, ill look around and see if i can find the link for it.

Yeah G.O.D and Illusion have post-poned development of the sequal due to the inner collapse of the senior development team. The East-European outfit have sacked some key players and moved to greener pastures. Pity though, I hope G.O.D take up responsibility and give it to someone else to develop. The original is a cross-platform winner and deserves a sequal... IMHO of course.

I agree, Mafia is one of the best PC games in my recent memory. The city actually felt real, the voice acting was great, the missions were different and varied (shooting, driving, fist-fights), the story was realistic and unpretentious.

I as far as I remember they were starting working on it but then someone or more left who were vital people to the dev of it.....

[font=Times]yeah i agree that Mafia is the best PC game, i av played it on PC but i have it on PS2, it is much more exciting on PC and is actually longer, TAKE 2 did a fantastic job of making it and like Max Payne it has a fabulous storyline and makes u think tht it is a fikm, i think the developers will av to do a fantastic job in toping the first game, Take 2 might get there old friends Rockstar to help like they did with Max Payne 2

If you look closely a large portion of the words here are also misspelled for your enjoyment.
