Its because the newer game has more visual technology and it requires faster computers.

i didn't really notice, the first one ran great too i thought, graphics are nice on the second one thats for sure, i wish u could get outta the car and run around like gta.....
 i wanna play the new san andreas so bad :rant: |

I've tried the damn thing
I'm running the demo @ 800x600 maximum details , if i try to run it without AA or whatever it is , i'm gonna obtain about 15 FPS :nxs: God damn this crappy demo  , nonetheless the game is pretty good , but the system requierments are to damn higher , Need fosr Speed Underground runs smoothly (1024 maximul detail) and this damn demo runs like crap .. C'mon the rendering space isnt so big , i mean Counter-Strike Source runs better than the demo . Specs: AMD Barton 2500+@2500+ Hynix 512 DDR PCI 3200 Inno 3D Tornado FX 5900XT Win XP + SP2 (Pro of course :P )

it's probly your stupid nvidia card... you should always ALWAYS choose ATi. see, nvidia is queer and ati is the best so that explains everything you ever need to know about slow games and your nvidia card.

I dont know what is the problem with your PC,because i have only a P3 866mhz,and 256mb-SD-Ram(pc133),Motherboard ASUS CuV4x,And an ATi Radeon 9200!And I think this demo run a bit Slower than Underground_1!

Well it does ran slower then the first one because they had add many new graphical improvements and features like the "glow" effect and better car quality and stuff + its an open road you can see half the city !
Off curse its going to be a bit slower then the crappy circuits in the first game. You can optimize, that is the key I run the game on 800*600 with AA everything turned on (except Vsync and the "glow" effect) and it runs good. I've tried the 1024*768 everything turned on, and it was still a good game play, actually I was distracted by the game play and didn't really care about the fps (which is something every one cares about B) )
