Chris Sawyer's Locomotion

Has anyone played Chris Sawyer's Locomotion yet? I can’t even get passed the easy levels. In the very first level you have to get 10.0% engineering to complete level. I’ve setup buses in all the towns linked all the towns by rail. I’m transporting coal and ore to the factory and steel to the other factory but can only get a level of 8.2%. What else can you do? How do you complete the level? And if it’s this hard at this level, what the hell are the other levels like?

I know there is cheats out there but I hate to use them. Anyone got any tips?

Check out your connections, some of them are making losses and draging you down.
You can get 10% with 2 profitable railroads in the first scenario and only usually in <5 in other easy scenarios

yeah it dose & it would be nice to play with someone who dose'nt leve after the first 5 mins.

Its really hard. I was pretty much in the same boat and stopped playing...picking up RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 instead...and enjoying that much more, esp with the new patch
