The wet effect on the bump-mapping is specular highlighting... I quite like it on most objects, however I wish it wasn't so bright white... They could at least blend it with the ambient lighting... or diffuse it a little.
I take it the X-Box version of Far Cry will have OpenEXR HDR as default, supposing at least the GPU can handle the fill-rate. I saw some screenshots when it was first announced for consoles and it definetly looked like it had HDR enabled... Another point, Do Crytek have any plans to develop an ATI compatible HDR format? OpenHXR is 16-bit, so will ATI users get a 24-bit version? |
