He dont have to. It's a well known fact that sm3 is in no way superior to sm2 when comparing the visuals.
The differences are techinical and nothing visual at all

a reason by UT2k4 and Doom3 look good.. they manage to NOT do that.

As for Sm3.0:

There is no difference in image quality.
Its the exacty same stuff for image quality. Anything you see as better is pure placebo. SM3.0 helps improve render speed.

FarCry 1.3 makes the game look better on nvidia cards because they finally fixed the poor image quality issues in 1.1
That means tha 1.2 and 1.3 didn't make nvidia's better. All they did was FINALLY MATCH the image quality on ATis.
And its not SM3.0 fixing the image quality, its the game itself.

So all you people with Nvidia cards: You finally get to enjoy the nice looking images that ATi owners have been enjoying since the game came out

thoughs screens at the top: do you even have AA on at all or what, it looks like that on my comp. except way smoother.....
