My friend was telling me that the water is really great, he also said carrier landings are a serious bitch.

Well, PF itself has 2 CDs and you can install it as a single game. But if you have IL2 FB and the Ace Expansion you can install it ass a sort of addon and be able to use all the IL2 fighters in PF
I got the good ol Sidewinder Force Feedback2 and the overpriced retarded Cougar controller....I wouldn't recommend keyboard sinse I have all buttons already setted to functions and some are even double sets (Ctrl +). Once you see the controll configs you know what I'm talking about. I have Flight Sim 04 + the sad thing they released as an addon/MOD....even when I just bought it I was playing more IL2 than MS fly. There is a demo for IL2 but I'm not sure about PF...who cares anyway, it's the gods of Dog Fights. The carrier start and landing can be a biatch when you have a heavy loaded fighter. If you got it on plain weaponary(basicly only the MGs it comes with) it's pretty easy. they still havn't fixed the AI pilot....I wanna be a gunner in the Flying Fortress but because of the dumb AI pilot we don't stay 20 min in the air so I have to switch back to pilot when it's gettin hot....

Didn't you just love the early-war Russian campaigns with those crappy old fighters? Somewhere I read that lowering the landing gear was real easy, just release the crank and do a sharp climb, just had to stay clear of the spinning handle :P
