I can bet you anything I'd prefer the DS even though I really didn't like GBA SP at all. Even though I'd like DS more, PSP will still sell more simply because it's made by sony. That'll snag anyone playing playstation.

I am not sure what is so big about the Nintendo DS! Now don't call me a sony fan boy, cause as of now I own a SP and 2 old ass gameboys, I have had some of my best gaming memories on my gameboy so I come at this topic totally un bias, but I have to say that if the DS wasn't backed by Nintendo I think it would fail. I believe alot of sales will come from people buying it just cause they like Nintendo hand helds but not really knowing what that second screen will do. From most screen shots I have seen NO real games take advantage of it, it seems to just show a MAP of things, like during mario kart, all it shows is the map of the track, which could easily be put in the top right of one screen. And I know it is a touch screen and all and it has alot of potential but really right now I don't see any, minus that one game that looks like IPod advertisments (XX/XY I think its called) I heard there is like a "scratch the bottom screen" portion of the game! But as of now the second screen seems usless to me and unless they pull some really inovative idea out of it I see it nothing but a bigger sized SP (the graphics don't even look much better then the SP now). As for the PSP, that is still up in the air for me, the battery life is really going to kill it, heard it only goes for 8 hours so far. That is really short come to think of it, and I heard it is even shorter if you are wathcing movies. I have to say the idea of watching movies on it is cool for a car ride, so you have the option to watch something if you are bored of playing games. Also heard of mp3 ablitlies too but not to sure about that. As for the look I would have to give the appearance to PSP, that thing looks damn cool. But right now I still not impressed by either, it really comes down to the GAMES and until about a year after each are relased and you can look back at the library only then you can decide. But my opinion on games, well Nintendo is going to have a hard ride a head of them with all the companies backing the PSP! Good luck

The PSP will do the best , as Sony' s marketing machine is so much better than Nintendos
However, how many times are we going to see Ridgeracer and the like. I played this on the original PS and PS2, i very much doubt i will be playing it again Granted this is only one title but as far as i have seen, there are a lot of other titles coming to PSP that have done the rounds already, some of them were crap then and won't be any different now At least Nintendo has a lot of new and different titles, even if one of them is arseing around with a dog via a pen ?!?! :bucky!: ![]() |
