CTF Strategies

If there are any map exploits for H2 (such as the old one on sidewinder throwing the flag through the bars), go ahead and post them if/when you find them, but try to not repeat them.

My favorite strategy for Bloodgulch/Coagulation in a 4vs4 scenario is to have your two worst players defend base and basically sit inside with shotguns (biggest noob tactic in the game, but it gets the job done.) The other 2 on the team take warthog, gunner and driver, and start moving towards the enemy base staying as far away from the enemy teleporter as possible. at the base, kill as many as possile with the chaingun, and when that's done drop the gunner off at the entrance to the top of the base. The driver should then drive around to the other entrance to the top and get out. Que each other to rush up at the same time so any campers would be caught off guard in at least one direction. Scan the inside of the base for shotgun campers and flush them out with a few well placed grenades.

Kill all survivors, grab health packs as needed (in Halo1), Camp the top of their base for a good ammount of time untill you get their respawns at good intervals so they dont all respawn at once and kill you as you are getting away. Proceed to take the flag and jump back in the warthog and drive away, sticking to the valleys of the map so as not to be shot by snipers from a distance. Works almost every time if it's as organized as I just stated.

Make sure someone on your team has the rocket launcher (middle of the map on coag) cause it only spawns one at a time so if you get it your opponents can't. Then get two people into a gauss warthog and wreak some havok!

I tried to play live today to test these out (unsuccessfully because my xbox is dead now). Guess I'll be getting the xbox back in a week to finally play it again and try this stuff out on live.

if u play flaghunter in headlong get the warthog with the missles (or whatever they r) and park under the broken bridge so the snipers cant get u then get in the back and shoot like hell, i got a kill frenzy (5kills in less the 4 seconds apart and a running riot which is like 20 kill, then i team killed.
