FIX FOR HALF LIFE 2

ok there has been a nasty stuttering/hard drive thrashing problem with half life 2.......i'm using an ATI card and before i was using cata.....4.11 and by setting textures to medium it fixed the problem kinda, but now i'm using the new omega drivers and i have it turned back up to high and it runs smooth as butter no more stutter/skipping, its sweet.... :thumbup: if you have this problem with the game, you should really try this out...

I don't know, but I can't seem to download the 4.11 catalyst drivers...I download them fine, but after I install them everything goes all teahaty...I guess I'll just have to go see my computer-wiz neighbor about it...I think it has something to do with my computer.

hmmmm thats weird....well try omega drivers i think the newest ones are 2.5.9.0....working awsome for me, i'll use these untill either ATI or VALVE release a fix for the game, cause there is really a stutter/skipping problem with 4.11 drivers, i think it has something to do with compressed textures in the game...... :bucky!:

ok , what da heck , i just finished the game and it ends , well.... crappy . im not gonna spoil it for ya but im gonna say that if they expect me to wait for halflife 3, the way i did for this one , they are wrong... im not gonna stress for at least another 3 years , and keep thinking of how it will finish .

I have the 4.11 drivers and I don't have a single problem. I haven't had any problem att all with my HL2. And yeah the ending sucks bigtime!!

wow thats great!! i posted this here for people who do have that problem, why did you bother posting anything at all, are you just sticking it to me!!

p.s: everybody quit talking about the ending, not everyone has gotten there yet and would like to find out for them self how good or bad it is........

I'm sure they don't give a shirt if you wait or not. you pirated the game so your opinion of the game means nothing.

well, you people know that you can't use a ATi driver for a nvidea card...or don't ya....

how the hell do wether he pirated the game or not, cus as far as I know the game isnt possible to play illigal
