Well , for those of you who finished the game its preety obvious that there will be another sequel... as one is supposed to be already planned at valve heaquarters. So it looks like we still dont have an ending to this adventure , gordon freeman will have to keep his crowbar close by and wait for another 3-4 years so the guys from valve can cook up another journey filled with headcrabs and soldiers for him to splatter across the walls. As much as i would like to throw more barrels in zombies , i think a 4-th sequel will spoil the story. I already knew half of the game from the movies and *EDIT read the forum rules, i give you this warning as the rules are new and some people are slow... thanks, TGE , if halflife 3 is planned , please ,

what do you care? you didn't pay for the game so why do you give a crap about if the game was good or not.

They've already set a new level in gaming and the series itself. I'm afraid of what they are going to be able to offer in the next game. What could they do. Enhance what they've already done. It better be something to blow the socks off of the Unreal 3 engine. And a story line to end all story lines. I'm starting to feel Matrix and LOTR coming on again.

They are using the source engine on the 3rd. They have already said " we dont need a new engine for half life 3, source gives us good capabilites and lets us also expand on what weve done". So in english, there using source for hl3 but at the same time, they can improove things aswell ie graphics etc. So im thinking 2-3 years tops on the wait of hl3, not 5 years like hl2 coz that was when they started the source engine, so obviosly, hl2 was gona take a long time. :thumbup:
