okay, i just watched the end again. He says exactly "in the mean time, this is where i get off." then there aren't really that much train noises but you hear a door (that kind of looks like the exit of a train door) open, he gets off, and it closes. Then credits.

And this is my theory :
The g-man works for a secret agency that saw what you did at black mesa or knew that you would turn out to be the saviour of mankind, and decided to hire you, spawning you through time and space to save humanity when it becomes endangered(we have the technology ,you have the muscle). You see him through the first game because he leads you , showing you the way to victory and again in the hl2 observing your progess after being "hired".He tries to stay hidden so he won`t interfeer with the course of events that would lead you to victory. The train thing is to lead you to think you`re travelling beteewn 2 points (present and future) and to kind of start where you left off making a connection beteewn the two games... The many refferences to time made by the g-man "your time has come again , time..? mr. freeman ? , etc..." and the one with ely "you havent changed a bit" and the fact that you aren`t told anything from the past 15 years , have to mean that you`ve traveled through time... Well , thats what i think , but they better explain everything in hl3. ![]() |

so if hl2 was all events that were happening (not a simulation for freeman) then how did the G-man freeze time at the end of the game? and why does he talk like he is unfamiliar to human speak? (possibly not human?)

because he controls time and space man , trust me , it would be a lame game if everything was just a simulation.... I would have to say : what did i spend som much time splattering aliens on the wall ? so the g-man can watch my progress over a cup of coffe ? in a simulation you dont need a complex plot and caracters , you just need targets to stop bullets with.
i like my version better , allthough the real one may be far more elaborated than that. |

ya but that's just it, they didn't have an elaborate plot or anything. They barely even explained the enemy, which is another reason to lead me to believe in the simulation idea. because, see, the g-man uses this simulation for the next game for people to employ gordon. He can show off how well you did. I know it sounds kind of lame, but trust me, it makes sense if you put the pieces together.
(also, what are the odds that earth happens to get attacked again. Are all aliens just attracted to earth? do they all have devious plots to destroy us?) |

hey i just thought about something. Does anyone know anybody's email from Valve? because maybe i could ask them a few questions. I doubt i would get much but still, i mean, it's worth a try. I just want to know something about hl2. It's really confusing, maybe they'd give me some info on the plot and stuff. So if you know anybody's email from valve, please tell me.
