Ok i just watch the ending of half life 2 again and i must say Saydan's theory about the simulation thing does seem right.
the way g-man acts its so calm and what not like nothing really just happened, even know gordon just went through hell!!

You all have to admit they make Gordon's life pretty sad. He fights and then is put to sleep where he wakes up to fight again, watch people he cares for die, and then be put to sleep again until his next fight. Oh yeah, good theory thinking that the G-Man is not human. They definitely set this game up for a third one. After all, we still have to see the Combine's homeworld and the leader which kind of looked like a giant maggot. For those of you who didn't catch a glimpse, you can see him in the evil old guy's screen when Gordon is accidently transported into his office in the beginning and in the end. Also, you can catch a glimpse of the Combine world through the final portal for those of you who overlooked that.

I'm guessing they are going to introduce a completely new enemy for hl3. My theory for half life 3 is the it's going to be based on Gordon being on a different world, saving that species from destruction. I'm guessing he'll be assigned to a job in the third one (some one hired his services through the g-man.)

so if anyone was looking forward to the combine homeworld, i doubt we'll see that.

if it was a simulation then there would be a never ending steam of hl sequels.every poor species in the universe would place their bid.that theory is crackpot.

also.....does anyone know why the gman was seen talking to certain ppl in hl2 (like on the coast level to the brit guy)

they don't have to keep producing hl sequels. You can just use your mind to know that gordon will keep helping people. They don't have to have the player do everyone mission he does to save a world. They'll probably only do one more.
