wut up i just joined this forum after surfin teh web fer a while
i been intrested in making a game for some time now, and then
i looked at the prices for a graphic rendering engine er wut ever
and holy $H!7 that costs some serious dope.
what exactly do i need to make a game, im looking into making
a first person shooter.
also, can you make your own engine, and how?

Hello, Knifeman and Welcome to HELL!

Making your own game isn't easy at all, so if you want to make something, just start out with a mod, for example a BF mod... Get a team together (of artist, 3d designers, ect) to make a simple mod...then move on from there...

actual prices on some indie engines. if you can program than you can make games as powerful as like Battlefield Vietnam or some such. if you think you will buy the source engine without some major cash you're crazy. best thing to do is to make some small "good" games until you can make a "great" game
