Trailer is mighty impressive. Brilliant visuals and audio with all the smashing glass and dust flying off the walls and all. Can't help feeling sceptical about whether they'll get the scary aspect right or not tho.
I mean flickering lights, blood, screams and Wednesday Adams doesn't = fear. Doesnt convince im afraid (or not afraid as the case may be..). It could well be a Doom3 killer.. (I didnt really buy that for the fear aspect tho, despite their advertising slant.) May end up being another far cry - visually impressive and fun but fails in plot and fear. I suppose we've kinda been spoiled with hl2 in a way, and demand a more complete experience from all our games from now on. Of course all this judgment is based on a 5 minute e3 demo! I hope they prove me wrong. And I do now have some funky 'Wednesday Adams ala FEAR' background desktop wallpaper. :dennis: Personally Id like something a little more sureal and atmospheric, rather than shocking and adrenaline based. Know what I mean? Like a silent hill FPS or summut.. (/me gets to work on silent hill: source..) |
